Back in 2012 I found myself with some free time, and I went and spent 3 months in South Africa to get my private pilots license. I went to the Algoa flight club in Port Elizabeth, and it was probably the best experience of my life. I know it’s not possible for everyone, but if you ever find yourself with 3 months off and $10-15k or so it’s a tremendous experience.
