A Guitar

Having not done much modelling recently I decided to do another Udemy course from Chris Plush - but I wanted to take it a bit further and texture it myself as well as perhaps make a nice video animation. In the end I decided to leave the video animation, but I did finish the course and texture it in Substance Painter:

All these renders are in Cycles with 5000 samples.

It’s been a long time since I had last used Substance Painter, and at first I could barely remember how to even navigate the UI. In the end most parts of the guitar only got a single material applied and I had problems baking the ambient occlusion (it looked a total mess) so I think the end result isn’t as good as it could have been. That said it was still good practice which is really what it’s about at this stage.
